Terms & Conditions
You must be at least an intermediate-level snowboarder. You need previous experience with splitboarding, skins, and basic mountaineering skills. You need to be able to ride in all types of snow and moderate slopes. To fully enjoy splitboarding in the mountains of Lofoten, we recommend that everybody taking part can ride comfortably on-piste in resorts and preferably have tried off-piste/backcountry riding before.
Conditions for rent:
- Payment by Vipps or bank transfer before picking up equipment
- Photos are taken upon collection
- A deposit of NOK 2,500 PER SET is paid upon collection and refunded upon return of undamaged equipment.
- In case of delayed delivery, NOK 500 is deducted from the deposit per commenced on the day after the delivery date, unless otherwise agreed.
- Defective or lost equipment must be replaced at the purchase price (usually covered by your own travel insurance)
- We are in no way responsible for any damage, personal injury or accidents that may occur when renting and using the equipment.
- We require to see and take a photo of your identification before renting
- Subletting is not allowed
First Time?
Suppose you feel confident in snowboarding, but have never tried slitboarding before. In that case, we recommend choosing an extra one of our training programs, that will get you familiar with safe and trouble-free usage of the equipment.
Safety
We recommend using helmets and avalanche equipment (probe, shovel, transceiver). Always check the weather and avalanche forecast before you go. Always inform the hotel staff or your colleagues about your destination and the estimated time of return to the hotel/cabin you are staying in, so that, if necessary, they can alert the appropriate services that will come to your rescue.
